Lane Late oranges are a clone derived from mutation of the Washington variety discovered by Australian citrus grower L. Lane in 1950. They are late oranges that extend the production season due to the high persistence of ripe fruit on the plant: harvesting can be extended for three months after the onset of ripening. Good quality fruits have a small navel size and reduced limonin content.
